Embracing Life's Journey:
A Women-Centered Approach to Therapy
At Canary Collaborative, I believe therapy should be a journey filled with humor, celebrating every moment, big or small. I am committed to championing your journey, from the tiniest victories to the most significant milestones, always with transparency and honesty.
Together, we'll dive into key areas such as effective communication, empathy, conflict resolution, boundary setting, emotional regulation, assertiveness, and self-care—all with a focus on empowering women like you. But don't let the seriousness of those topics fool you; my approach is anything but dry. We'll laugh, we'll learn, and we'll navigate life's twists and turns with resilience and grace.
So if you're ready to embark on a journey of growth, self-reflection, and exploration, specifically designed for women, let's do it together. At Canary Collaborative, I'm not just a therapist; I'm your partner in healing and empowerment, here to support and uplift you every step of the way.

Canary Collaborative?
I have always been inspired by the idiom “canary in the coal mine."
The phrase refers to a practice from the early days of coal mining, where miners would take a caged canary into the mines with them. Canaries are highly sensitive to carbon monoxide and other toxic gases. If the canary showed signs of distress, it served as an early warning sign for the miners to evacuate the mine due to dangerous levels of gas. In a broader sense, the phrase has come to symbolize any early indicator of potential danger or risk.

Relating this concept to strength, we can draw parallels in the context of mental health and resilience. Just as the canary served as an early warning system for miners, recognizing and addressing signs of mental or emotional distress can be a sign of strength and resilience.

Be messy and complicated and afraid and show up anyway.
